Reunion Rescue hasn't added a story.
Reunion Rescue needs your help.
Thursday, May 21, LuLu, a Great Pyrenees owned by Reunion Rescue managed to get loose from the day
care where she's been boarded for the past 2 1/2 years.
Austin Animal Control refused to return LuLu to Reunion Rescue
with solid proof of ownership, instead returning LuLu to a dangerous
situation where LuLu had been beaten and threatened with being shot by abusers.
Acting Austin Animal Control director Chris Noble threatened Reunion Rescue director
with jail when asked for a meeting to help LuLu.
Anti-pit bull counter help exclaimed 'EWWW she rescues pit
bulls!' when Reunion Rescue asked the shelter for a meeting to discuss
LuLu's endangerment.
A petition has been created to
raise awareness about LuLu's mishandling and endangerment by Austin
Animal Control.
The following articles containing a timeline to try and document
the convoluted mess Austin Animal Control has made of this situation.

Highlights
See all activity84One year ago, we got LuLu back. It was very expensive. $16,000 in legal fees! The city of Austin was involved in a hoax scam fake LuLu page in which the people holding LuLu hostage for one month claimed she was infested with heartworm and were threatening to kill her! We immediately performed a heartworm test which proved negative. LuLu is back safe and sound with Reunion Rescue! We too a huge hit financially with the longtime struggle to have LuLu returned to Reunion Rescue. Please consider a donation to help us recoup the $16,000 legal fees.
It's been ONE YEAR since the city of Austin and hoax page cost us $16,000 to have LuLu returned!! How many dogs died at Austin Animal Center that could have been saved with those thousands of dollars?

Austin Animal Center has banned Reunion Rescue from saving Austin, Texas animals. Recently, another dog was endangered by Austin Animal Center when adopted to an alleged animal abuser: https://www.facebook.com/americanpitbullexaminer/posts/1014633118619007 "URGENT! PLEASE HELP KEEP CHICO FROM BEING RETURNED TO HIS ABUSER! AUSTIN, TX Earlier this week, Austin Animal Center allowed a mentally and emotionally unstable 19 year old homeless teenager to adopt shelter dog Chico, (a dog that had previously lived in a very bad home and was found tethered with another dog). The homeless teenager had no form of identification and no support to ensure the dog's wellbeing. On the evening of April 16th , a man was in his 10th floor apartment downtown when he heard a commotion and the horrible sound of a crying dog. When he went to investigate he found that same young homeless man beating his dog. Chico was visibly terrified! The shelter had a responsibility to watch over the dog. He has obviously had a terrible past and to put him into the hands of a mentally unstable young man is unconscionable. The information that I have is that the man was taken by the police for a psych evaluation and Chico was reportedly going to be taken to the shelter. At this point in time I am not sure if that is what happened. PLEASE HELP SHARE THIS STORY IN ORDER TO BRING AWARENESS TO THE NEED FOR SAFER ADOPTIONS AND TO PROTECT CHICO FROM BEING RETURNED TO HIS ABUSER!" Share LuLu's story and fundraiser to help us fund out legal battle to become reinstated as an Austin rescue. Austin Animal Center needs to drop their illegal and untrue ban and offer Reunion Rescue a public apology.
Support LuLu and Nolan in Strut Your Mutt to get our $16,000 back! Please share LuLu and Nolan's Strut Your Mutt page and help us try and get back some of the money the city of Austin cost us to have LuLu returned by the courts! http://support.bestfriends.org/site/TR/Events/General?px=1020852&pg=personal&fr_id=1110

We've spent over $16,000 trying to seek justice for LuLu's kidnapping and near killing at the hands of a hoax page where LuLu was held hostage for several weeks. This year, LuLu and Nolan will walk again in Strut Your Mutt for the third year for homeless pets and Reunion Rescue. We need your help to raise the money Austin Animal Center cost Reunion Rescue to save LuLu. Please consider walking YOUR pet for LuLu and other homeless pets in Strut Your Mutt this year. Please consider sharing our Strut Your Mutt event..we only have a couple of strutters….even a virtual page for $10 where you can ask friends to support you and Reunion … please help and share! Cindy and the Reunion Rescue crew

Look ya'll it's LuLu..LuLu will be walking for her third year in Austin Best Friends Strut Your Mutt with Reunion Rescue...we are working on getting back the $11,000 plus dollars it cost us to redeem LuLu from the city of Austin.....so help us out and walk YOUR pet to help Reunion Rescue continue to save lives...that $11,000 put a dent in our budget, but LuLu and Reunion Rescue keep on trucking! come on out and support us or create a virtual page if you can't make it in person ... Walk YOUR pet to help us save more homeless pets! http://support.bestfriends.org/goto/reunionrescueaustin Here's a way we can still try to raise the thousands of dollars the city of Austin TX cost Reunion Rescue and the dogs lives who could have been saved with all this money. Please share this link and consider walking your dog or creating a virtual page to help Reunion Rescue dogs.

We’ve taken on three new dogs recently and already had a house full! Please consider a small donation to help us keep our dogs in treats and good food..just spent $602 on this month’s raw dinners! Gretsky: https://fundrazr.com/campaigns/910OO7/ab/5Apxd Precious: http://rehabprecious.blogspot.com/ Sugar: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sugars-Happy-Page/1586627734933008?fref=ts&ref=br_tf We are still trying to raise the money Austin Animal Center cost us for getting LuLu back @ $11,000! This really put a huge stress on Reunion Rescue and took every penny we had! Please consider a small donation @ www.reunionrescue.com and share our story!!

Today's questions about city of Austin's involvement in the hoax where LuLu was held hostage: http://doggirlpitbull.blogspot.com/2015/07/rescue-dog-lulu-hoax-page-exposed-with.html Please continue to share LuLu's story and chip in so we can prosecute these offenders in court and have the out of pocket rescue money returned. These people need to answer for their crimes.
Finally, the Freedom of Information request came back from the city of Austin. Naturally, it's filled with lies about Reunion Rescue which will be proved in a court of law when these people are prosecuted. Beverly Phillips stated LuLu was NOT HER PROPERTY as is logged in the Austin Animal Center website. The owner, according to Beverly Phillips and the AAC logged memo in LuLu's file is thought to be the same abuser who abandoned LuLu at Reunion Rescue 2.5 years ago. This information was denied and Reunion Rescue called 'liar' by the city and the hate groups posting on the Austin Animal Center Facebook page and on the HOAX page created by Beverly Phillips' daughter, Amanda Robbins who held LuLu hostage for a month with false claims LuLu was high heartworm positive and needed to be killed. Clearly stated, Beverly Phillips tells Austin Animal Center she is no longer the owner. Austin Animal Center refuses to look at Reunion Rescue's proof of ownership and tries to throw director Cindy Marabito in jail. This information is conveniently left off the lie-filled memorandum as is all interaction on 5/22/15...not one word. People from Austin Animal Center regularly posted on the hoax page with suggestions to kill LuLu. We need your help to bring these people to court where they will answer for fraud, theft and extortion. This is pit bull discrimination PURE and SIMPLE! Counter attendant stated loudly over the phone, "EWWWWWWW, she rescues PIT BULLS!" after asking director Cindy Marabito, "why do you have a Great Pyrenees if you are a PIT BULL rescue???" Please share LuLu's story and let people know what the city of Austin has done to this dog and our rescue. We paid $10,000 to get LuLu back and are currently trying to raise the money to prosecute these offenders in court.
We've made $3100 of the $10,000 it cost to have Lulu returned...money the city of Austin cost Reunion Rescue. Austin Animal Center lied to the police and filed a false police report, robbed Reunion Rescue of a month's hard work to have our owned pet returned. Please share LuLu's story and consider donating $1.00 or two to help us make back the $10,000 spent on legal fees to have the Austin Animal Center WRONGS corrected. Holli Odom and others who lied to the police and on records are still being paid and enjoying benefits underwritten by citizens of Austin, Texas....citizens like myself, an Austin business and property owner..now banned at my own shelter I pay to support. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10206841042884417&set=a.1459932498093.2065353.1226835957&type=1&theater
What the heck is Austin Animal Center so scared we'll find out? Read and share this latest blog entry from Pit Bulls and Other Animals with screen shots and asking questions, questions Austin Animal Center will not answer! http://doggirlpitbull.blogspot.com/2015/07/what-is-austin-animal-center-so-scared.html
Many of you have heard the bits and pieces of the story - how we got LuLu back - so here is the mystery revealed...how we got LuLu back! Pit Bulls and Other Animals..How we found LuLu: http://doggirlpitbull.blogspot.com/2015/07/how-we-found-lulu.html This is only the tip of the very complicated iceberg...there are ties to hate groups all the way to Dawn James and Craven Desires, groups out of California and back to Austin, Dogsbite.org....and Austin Animal Center. More will be revealed as we uncover the truth, debunking one lie at a time.
California haters have taken up residence on the Austin Animal Center page which is promoting these lies about Reunion Rescue and LuLu. These two have been a part of a hate movement for the past three years trying to ruin Reunion Rescue in an effort organized by Rebecca Katz of San Francisco pound to quiet American Pit Bull Examiner articles about Charlie, the dog who went missing at SFACC in 2013 and has never been seen again. When we tried to post the truth regarding the lies being spread on Austin Animal Center Facebook page, our posts were removed several times. Why is Austin Animal Center trying to cover up the truth about what happened to LuLu, the hoax page set up by fake profiles, all the connections leading back to the city and staff at Austin Animal Center? One of these nasty posters on Austin Animal Center actually references the proof of cover up in one of her many wordy long posts (below). Why is Austin Animal Center holding this hate fest? What's in it for them? What is Austin Animal Center hiding?????
LuLu and Nolan this morning..still settling in. However, the hate groups and filthy Jesus page are still attacking Reunion Rescue with claims that: * we did not spend $10,000 to get LuLu back... * that LuLu IS hw positive * that the hoax page created by Beverly Phillips and her daughter is really the HONEST TRUTH * outlandish claims by the ANTI-Christ folks that 'Reunion Rescue is stalking at rest stops' and other freakish mind-boggling figments of these wild California imaginations! We plan to try and unravel the lunacy being promoted on Austin Animal Center's Facebook page and some of these hate pages. We do plan to go forward with our legal effort to prove the hoax behind LuLu is reunited with her family Facebook pages and all of the libel and untrue accusations stemming from these hate groups. Here is one of many to come photos of LuLu and Nolan, healthy and happy and heartworm free. Also attached is a copy of our legal bill paid in full and LuLu's heartworm negative test done the first thing Monday morning after her month-long hostage and ransom by the Phillips family and Barks a Lot Pet Resort. Please stop by and visit LuLu and Nolan and all their happy friends on the LuLu and Nolan Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/nolanlulupage/ Haters, liars and animal killers not allowed and will be banned.
LuLu is safe and we are allowed to tell the story!!! Still have a few legal issues to follow up on and we will follow up on those..that is guaranteed..so please share LuLu's story and happy reunion pictures...and please keep sharing the chip in fundraiser and petition! http://www.examiner.com/article/austin-texas-rescue-dog-lulu-held-hostage-and-nearly-killed
After the LuLu is reunited with her family Facebook page announced LuLu was heartworm positive last Thursday June 18, 2015....a huge attack against Reunion Rescue and Doug Johnson was unleashed from across the globe. We could not communicate or get any response from the owners of the page and reached out again on the Austin Animal Center Facebook page and our own rescue pages to ask questions..questions that went unanswered. Instead, these very nasty posters from organized California groups advised the LuLu is reunited with her family page to kill LuLu. We were terrified! Through some very inspired work on the part of our attorney, LuLu was returned to Reunion Rescue Saturday night. She has spent some wonderful moments being reunited with those who love her...please see her welcome home photos on our Facebook pages: https://www.facebook.com/cmarabito First thing this morning, LuLu was taken to the vet to receive NEGATIVE results on her heartworm test. An ugly hate-filled affair with name-calling and threats not only against Reunion Rescue, Doug Johnson and even our holistic veterinarian...but threats to kill LuLu...a healthy dog who's lived a quality holistic life eating raw-fed meals and being treated homeopathically---could all have been avoided had Austin Animal Center simply done their job and held a meeting as requested between the LuLu is reunited with her family page owners and Reunion Rescue. Instead...we were threatened with jail, had criminal charges filed against director Cindy Marabito with city pound employees lying to the police on a falsified police report. This is not what our taxes and those of Cindy Marabito, an Austin business owner and property owner are to be used. LuLu is heartworm negative and we are so happy to have her home where she belongs. Our time now is being spent trying to raise the funds to finish paying the thousands and thousands of dollars the city has cost our rescue. We will begin business again trying to save lives. How many lives could have been saved during the past 30 days spent trying to get our legally owned dog returned? How many lives could have been saved with all the money wasted by Austin Animal Center? Even more disgusting is the damage these monsters from California have done to a holistic rescue, Reunion Rescue, who has pulled and CURED HW positive dogs with our Reunion Rescue herbal tincture on our Health Page @ www.reunionrescue.com. Our work has been to show the many pet owners faced with enormous vet estimates a holistic means to treat their pets rather than the overwhelming number of senior and sick pets being dumped in the country's animal pounds. One would think a pound like Austin Animal Center would look for healthy solutions .... especially in a town like Austin, Texas. Austin Animal Center has placed a huge black mark on our town and it will be a long uphill struggle to try and undo the massive damage they've done to Reunion Rescue and rescue in general by hosting this nasty month-long hate fest.
"IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED THAT _________ AND _________AND THEIR AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, FAMILY MEMBERS, TRUSTEES, ATTORNEYS, REPRESENTATIVES, AND ALL THOSE ACTING IN CONCERT OR PARTICIPATION WITH THEM WHO RECEIVE ACTUAL NOTICE OF THE TERMS OF THIS ORDER BE, AND ARE HEREBY, COMMANDED FORTHWITH TO REFRAIN AND ARE ENJOINED FROM: REMOVING THE LULU, A GREAT PYRENEES DOG WHO IS CURRENTLY IN THEIR POSSESSION, FROM TEXAS, AND FROM TAKING ANY ACTION THAT WOULD BE DETRIMENTAL TO LULU'S HEALTH FROM THE DATE OF ENTRY OF THIS ORDER (JUNE 19, 2015) UNTIL FOURTEEN (14) DAYS THEREAFTER OR UNTIL FURTHER ORDER OF THIS COURT" REMOVAL OF THIS POST WILL BE DEEMED RECEIPT... Please help and share this fundraiser to pay legal costs to have LuLu safely returned to Reunion Rescue.
Attackers on the LuLu page refer to longtime effort to ruin the reputation of Reunion Rescue by claiming our rescue efforts are 'scams'....their words and the same words with false accusations of fraud to try and stop Reunion Rescue from taking this matter of LuLu's disappearance to court. We will continue to fight through the courts system in Travis County in hopes that justice will prevail and we will finally learn the truth of what has happened to our rescue dog, LuLu. Please continue to share the fundraiser, LuLu's story and the attached petition to draw attention to the wrongdoing of Austin Animal Control and the strong hate movement trying to sabotage our effort to find LuLu.

We just posted the announcement on the LuLu page operated by 'Jane Doe' referred to in the legal pleading: This notice was just posted on the LuLu page operated by 'Jane Doe' named in the pleading: NOTICE TO UNNAMED PERSON IN POSSESSION OF DOG NAMED LULU. Notice is hereby given pursuant to Rule 202.3(b)(1) of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure to the Unnamed Person who is expected to have interests adverse to the Petitioners, that REUNION RESCUE and WILLIAM DOUGLAS JOHNSON’s Verified Petition To Take Deposition Before Suit To Perpetuate Or Obtain Testimony of Beverly Phillips For Use In An Anticipated Suit will be submitted to the DISTRICT COURT, TRAVIS COUNTY, TEXAS, 126TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT, 1000 Guadalupe, Austin, Texas, 78701, for consideration at a hearing on Monday June 29, 2015, at 2:00 PM in the matter with Cause No. D-1-GN-15-002312.
